The first thing you’ll notice when you walk into Golbahari Mansion is its striking architecture. The restaurant is housed in a beautifully restored mansion, exuding an old-world charm that’s been expertly blended with modern touches. The wooden beams, intricate tile work, and plush seating create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This makes it the perfect spot for a family meal, a romantic dinner, or even a casual get-together with friends. The attention to detail in both the interior design and service gives you an authentic feel of Persian hospitality.

One of the highlights of Golbahari Mansion is its menu, which draws inspiration from Shiraz’s rich culinary heritage. You can expect to find a range of traditional Persian dishes, with everything from fragrant stews to grilled meats. The restaurant takes pride in using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to ensure that each dish bursts with flavor. One popular choice is the Fesenjan, a hearty Persian stew made with pomegranate and walnut, offering a perfect balance of sweet and savory. Another must-try is the kabob platter, featuring perfectly grilled skewers of tender meat served with fluffy rice and grilled vegetables.

For those who prefer lighter bites, the appetizer selection won’t disappoint. The Golbahari Mansion hummus, served with freshly baked flatbread, is a crowd favorite. Pair it with some dolmeh (stuffed grape leaves) or mast o khiar (yogurt and cucumber dip), and you’ll have a delightful start to your meal. The variety in the menu caters to different tastes, so whether you're craving something vegetarian or meat-heavy, you’ll find plenty of options that satisfy your cravings.

The dessert menu at Golbahari Mansion deserves a special mention. The traditional Persian sweets like saffron ice cream and baklava are an absolute treat, with their unique blend of flavors and textures. For a refreshing touch to end the meal, don’t miss the sharbat, a chilled herbal drink that’s both invigorating and soothing after a rich meal.

Beyond the food, Golbahari Mansion also shines with its exceptional service. The staff is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations and making sure that your dining experience is as comfortable as possible. Iranian tray , an authentic Persian breakfast experience. Iranians often prepare fried eggs for breakfast but I asked for scrambled one instead. I wish if the tea came in pot and not tiny glass. Loved the ambiance, by 9:30 the restaurant got busy. I noticed Iranians often have their breakfast around 9 am. Service wasn’t the best but acceptable.

The place is beautiful, and they’ve made good use of the space with tables set up in different areas where you can sit and enjoy. The menu had a good variety, the food tasted nice, and the prices were reasonable and in line with the norm. The food preparation time was also standard. However, what I felt was missing in this restaurant was interaction and engagement with the staff. I would have preferred if the staff were more cheerful and brought more positive energy to the experience. We ordered Zeytoon Parvardeh (marinated olives), spinach yogurt, Koobideh kebab, Gheimeh stew with rice, and barley soup.

The was was quite delicious, service very friendly and quite a chill atmosphere in a traditional courtyard. The dinner menu is more limited than lunch menu so bear this in mind (and a reason to come back!).

Traditional cafe restaurant with a pleasant and beautiful view. Serving three meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the historical area of Vakil Bazaar.

A beautiful traditional place to have lunch, hidden right next to the Vakil Bazaar. The restaurant serves excellent Persian cuisine, and put great effort in serving me. It charges fair prices, and always has at least 1 person on duty who speaks English well; in the end I ended up visiting the restaurant 3 times. I can definitely recommend this restaurant to any foreigners visiting Shiraz.
